Rural History and Heritage on Facebook
(Baladi Ta'rikh wa-Turath)

Baladi promotes public awareness and popular discourse about Palestine's rich history, geography and heritage through dedicated Arabic-language Facebook page titled ‘Baladi Tarikh wa-Turath’ (Rural History and Heritage). Established in 2019, the page is one of the largest platforms online dedicated to these subject, with over 68,000 followers and and an average 500,000 monthly views. With over 350 personally produced and narrated videos, it offers one of the most comprehensive contemporary audio-visual documentation of historical sites in the country.

Baladi: Palestine and Holy Land Studies is a U.S. 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Baladi promotes the study, documentation, preservation and publication of the history and heritage of Palestine and the Holy Land, broadly defined, in all its cultures, religions and peoples.
Baladi supports the scholarly work of students, emergent, and established scholars, partakes in outreach activities and community engagement efforts in Palestine/Israel and the Palestinian Diaspora.
